How to install the colloid mill? How to maintain?

This is an article about the installation and maintenance of the colloid mill. I hope this article can help you use the colloid mill better and reduce unnecessary losses.

This is an article about the installation and maintenance of the colloid mill. I hope this article can help you make better use of the colloid mill. Next, let's take a look at the colloid mill manufacturer, Chenyang pump.

Precautions for the use of colloid mill

Hard substances such as quartz sand, broken glass, and metal chips are never allowed to be mixed with the processing materials, and it is strictly forbidden to enter the colloid mill for production.

There must be water or liquid material in the colloid mill before and after startup, shutdown and cleaning, and idling and reversal are prohibited. Otherwise, improper operation will seriously damage the hard mechanical components or the static grinding disc, or the dynamic grinding disc, or cause leakage and burn the motor.

The product will be improved without prior notice when it does not affect the basic structure and performance.

Installation and use of colloid mill

1. Connect the feed hopper or feed pipe and discharge port, then connect the discharge circulation pipe, and then connect the cooling water (JM-L50a, b no cold water pipe system) and drain pipe.

2. After installing the electric starting device, (if the user has the conditions, it can be equipped with an ammeter, an indicator light, or a frequency converter, etc.) After connecting the power supply, pay special attention to the direction of the start-up operation to determine whether the motor rotates in the normal direction, or from the feeding pipe. Check whether the direction is the same as the direction arrow of the 'red warning sign' on the colloid mill. Idling (lack of liquid in the cavity) and reverse rotation are absolutely prohibited.

3. When leaving the factory, the adjusted limit screws have been installed on the block of the equipment outlet, and the gap between the grinding discs is at the best processing fineness spacing. To adjust the gap between the grinding discs, first, loosen the upper limit screw of the block at the discharge port, and then loosen the two handles on the adjusting disc (dial) 'counterclockwise' without turning on the machine, and then turn the adjusting disc 'clockwise'.

Colloid mill

When the disc feels a little resistance, it stops immediately. At this time, the scale on the adjustment disc is aligned with the reading of the pointer on the body to determine that the gap between the dynamic and static grinding discs is '0'. But remember the reading number on the dial circle, this number is not 0 degrees and the gap between the grinding discs is '0', and then reverse (counterclockwise) the adjustment disc for a few turns so that the gap between the moving and static grinding discs is slightly greater than 0. The scale of the adjustment dial is 0.01mm for each advance or retreat. Generally, under the condition of meeting the requirements of the fineness of the processed materials, the gap between the grinding discs should be kept as far as possible, the handle should be locked to the adjusting disc, and then the upper limit screw of the feed inlet box should be adjusted to ensure the normal operation of the machine.

4. After connecting the cooling water, inject about 1-2Kg of liquid material or other liquid related to the processing material and keep the wet material in the state of returning through the circulation pipe. Only then can the colloid mill be started. After the operation is normal, the material is immediately put into the colloid mill for processing and production, and the idling type colloid mill can also be exempted from this.

5. Before shutting down, add a proper amount of water or other liquids related to the processing materials into the colloid mill feed hopper or leave it in the cavity, and keep the wet materials in the state of returning through the circulation pipe. When starting up, it is necessary to keep a certain amount of wet material in the hopper in a state that can be returned and put in the material immediately, otherwise, it will damage the hard combined seal and even cause leakage and burn the motor.

6. Pay attention to the motor load for processing materials, and reduce the feeding if the overload is found.

7. During the action, the discharge valve of the colloid mill must not be closed, so as to avoid leakage caused by excessive pressure in the grinding chamber.

8. The colloid mill is a high-precision machine, with very little gap between the grinding discs and a fast rotation speed. The operator should strictly abide by the post, work according to the rules, stop the machine in time when the fault is found, and then start production after troubleshooting.

9. After use, the colloid mill should be thoroughly disinfected and the inside of the body should be cleaned, so that no material remains in the body, so as not to damage the machine due to hard mechanical bonding.

Colloid Mill Maintenance and Maintenance

(1) Check the colloid mill pipeline and joints for looseness. Turn the colloid mill by hand to see if the colloid mill is flexible.

(2) Add bearing lubricating oil into the bearing body, observe that the oil level should be at the center line of the oil mark, and the lubricating oil should be replaced or supplemented in time.

(3) Unscrew the water diversion plug of the colloid mill pump body, and pour water diversion (or slurry diversion).

(4) Close the gate valve, outlet pressure gauge, and inlet vacuum gauge of the water outlet pipeline.

(5) Jog the motor to see if the rotation of the colloid mill motor is correct.

(6) Turn on the motor. When the colloid mill is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump to see if they show proper pressure, then gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load at the same time.

(7) Try to control the flow rate and head of the colloid mill within the range indicated on the sign to ensure that the colloid mill operates at the highest efficiency point in order to obtain the greatest energy-saving effect.

(8) During the operation of the colloid mill, the bearing temperature should not exceed the ambient temperature of 35C, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80C.

(9) If an abnormal sound is found in the colloid mill, stop immediately to check the cause.

(10) To stop using, first, close the colloid mill gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.

(11) In the first month of operation, the colloid mill should replace the lubricating oil after 100 hours, and after every 500 hours, change the oil once.

(12) Regularly adjust the packing gland of the colloid mill to ensure that the dripping condition in the packing chamber is normal (it is advisable to leak out in drops).

(13) Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and replace it in time after the wear is large.

(14) When the colloid mill is used in the cold winter season, after parking, it is necessary to unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body to drain the medium. Prevent freeze cracking.

(15) If the colloid mill is out of use for a long time, it is necessary to disassemble all the pumps, dry the water, coat the rotating parts and joints with grease, and store them properly.

Well, the above is the whole content of today. I believe that after reading the whole text, everyone has a good understanding of the use, installation, and maintenance of the colloid mill. More information will be continuously updated, and we will see you in the next issue.
