Instead of investing in domestic feedstock or petrochemical production, the Mexican industry could use imported intermediates to produce selective specialty and agrochemical that serve local and export markets. Industries with offshore potential (such as automotive, electrical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and the transportation industry) will drive local demand for and investment in specialty chemical, including pigments and colorants, electronic chemical, active ingredients, and carbon fiber.

Mexico can work with its customers to help achieve its sustainable development-related goals; This can be achieved by increasing the production of recycled ingredients through machinery and advanced recycling pathways, and promoting the use of low-carbon produced chemical in consumer product manufacturing.
